Quesnel, BC — Cariboo & Chilcotin Region
Tree planting, silviculture, fire fighting, and safety services — built on a foundation of safety, hard work, and pride in a job well done.
Who We Are
Torrent Silviculture was started in 2006 by Davin Green. Based out of Quesnel, B.C., we work primarily in the Cariboo/Chilcotin region — one of British Columbia's most dynamic and ecologically vital forest landscapes.
Our mission is to provide a safe and lucrative work environment for people of all ages and experience levels. We believe that hard work and a positive environment go hand in hand, and we take pride in every job we take on.
What began as a tree planting company has evolved over nearly two decades to offer diverse opportunities across silviculture, fire fighting, safety services, and more — offering sustainable careers, not just seasonal work.

Join Our Crew
Torrent hires all levels of experience and all ages for its planting operations. New workers are integral for the industry, and by incorporating them into our company we build sustainability for future seasons.
Our experienced workers share field knowledge that you can't get from a classroom — helping create a safer, stronger workforce. Beyond planting, Torrent offers post-season work including fire, medic, brushing, and slash pile burning.
We are a SAFE-certified company. Through our training, dedicated crew bosses and supervisors, and in-depth anti-harassment programs, we pride ourselves on creating a safe space for all genders, orientations, races, and religions.
Torrent is SAFE Certified through the BC Forest Safety Council — with an external audit conducted every year. From pre-season training to daily site observations and ZOLEO satellite communication, safety is baked into everything we do. Every crew boss holds OFA Level 3 certification, and we maintain a direct line to TEAAMS helicopter evacuation.
